Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Thibaut Pietri, 1 impasse de la Négrette, 31650 Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, France (see the legal notice). For any question about your data, write to contact@wowradar.app.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, hashed password, date of last login.
• Content you upload: artist names, biographies, photos, covers, audio files, lyrics, streaming and social links. This content is meant to be public once you publish a release.
• Payment data: amount, date, status and Stripe transaction identifiers. Card details are handled by Stripe only.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form or a content report.
• Technical data: server logs (IP address, date, requested page) kept for security purposes for a limited time.

3. Audience statistics

To show artists how their release performs (views, plays, streaming clicks), WowRadar records anonymous events. A visitor is identified only by a daily fingerprint: a one-way hash of the IP address, the browser user agent, the current date and a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored, the fingerprint changes every day and cannot be linked back to a person. No cookie and no third-party tracker is placed on visitors of artist and release pages.

4. Cookies

WowRadar only uses one strictly necessary session cookie, when you log in or submit a form (security token). It does not require consent. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

If you choose a language for the WowRadar interface, it is remembered in a preference cookie (wr_lang). It contains nothing but the language code.

5. Why we use your data (legal bases)

• Providing the service and your account: performance of the contract.
• Payments, invoices and accounting: legal obligation.
• Security, fraud prevention, handling of reports and anonymous statistics: our legitimate interest.
• Answering your messages: our legitimate interest or pre-contractual steps.

6. Who receives it

Your data is processed by our team and by our providers, acting on our instructions: our hosting provider OVH SAS (Roubaix, France), Stripe (payments) and our email provider. Public content is, by definition, visible to everyone once published. We never sell or rent personal data.

7. How long we keep it

• Account and content: as long as your account is active; deleted when you delete it.
• Payment records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law.
• Anonymous statistics: as long as the release exists.
• Contact messages and reports: up to 3 years.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its processing, by writing to contact@wowradar.app. You can also delete your artists and releases from your dashboard at any time. If you think your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

9. Transfers outside the EU

Our data is hosted in the European Union. Some providers (such as Stripe) may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses or adequacy decision).

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced by email or on this page.
